batch upload

2007-05-10 22:31:37		very important feature is to batch upload from common CRMs. without it, contact updates become a tedious data entry chore. A csv would work fine, if we can save the mapping. this way, once it is set up, our clients could be easily uploaded in bulk.

what would be even better is to be able to have it automatically pull information directly from the server. recommend support for salesforce, netsuite, sugarcrm, and vtiger. obviously that is alot to request, but just throwing it out there. thanks!

2007-05-11 11:24:26		Thanks for the post, yourmanstan. By mid-late summer I hope to be adding calendar/contact integration with some third party API's. Your suggestion for batch CSV upload is excellent and I'll see what I can do to get that in there as well.

I never really envisioned that the initial release of CPO would pull too many people away from existing systems. The current release is aimed primarily at freelancers or very small dev teams that aren't currently using any system at all. But I believe that attracting a new class of users down the road will require serious integration with existing project management systems.

Even those of us without existing integrated systems have have some kind of ad hoc system, which at a minimum includes address books and calendars. I would like to second upload/download of CSV or tab delineated files. iCalendar subscription would be great too, as a quick way to include current calendar info.
