| SebyM 2007-05-03 16:17:04 | This is my 1st forum post, so let me say 'Great job' to all who made CPO possible. The idea here is: Allow the user to enter his own currency name and symbol, my case: Currency RON, symbol LEI. (I think this might mean some formatting will be required to allow up to 3 chars to be added in front of a price.) Instead of offering the user a list of currencies to choose from, why not let him specify his own currency. After all, currency conversions in invoices are STATIC (you convert on the day you create the invoice), so the user can simply specify the conversion rate on the spot, or use the last rate he set. Also, it would be nice to offer support for the user to have a feed for his currency conversion. Example: my currency is Romanian LEI, i convert to euros using this feed: http://www.infovalutar.ro/azi/EUR.bnr, so 1EUR = the result of that feed. This is better explained in my next suggestion (multiple currency support and conversion). |

| jdenton 2007-05-18 14:09:39 | Thanks guys - this is a good idea and SebyM was kind enough to send some code samples to back it up too. My thought right now is that something like this will be available by mid-late summer. I'm putting together a blog post that will outline the features to be released between May and August 2007. Hope to have that posted by the weekend.
Thanks guys. |
| sigelweb 2007-08-18 02:42:25 | Hi. I really like your interface.
Actually, I've fallen in love with it! It's Great. I want to use your platform to track my projects, clients and invoices. And i think its great for that. However, I live in India and there is no provision for INR or Rs. (Indian Rupee) in the currency settings. It would be great if you can include that. And keep up the awesome work! Regards, Gautamm. |

I would love to be able to do my invoices in SEK (Swedish Kronor). Cheers to all developers! Regards, Michael |

i wanted to use cpo for tracking all my projects and billing but unfortunately, my currency (Indian Rupees .. symbol - Rs) is no included so i'm forced to use other applications for my invoicing. 'll be nice if u add the custom currency support or jst add 'Rs' to ur database. 've noticed that a user has posted a solution for it but its not implemented :(. suggestion: u can make it like gmail registration page where u can type ur own secret question which u need if u forgot the pwd. similarly u can include a combo item where the user can type his own currency. No need of having the currency symbol in the database. That'ld solve the problem |
