Invoice numbering
| jacindawalker 2007-07-18 07:25:51 | Hi...I am two days into my creativeprooffice account. So far, I kinda like it. But something happen... I was testing the look of the invoices and had to assign a beginning invoice number and now that I have deleted that invoice, I cannot go back to set the invoice numbers at the right one! For example...my test invoice number was 85 (which I deleted, caus eit was just a test!!) but now the program will only let me start at 86, And I want to start at 85. How or Where can I adjust the invoice numbers? Oh Lord, Please Help. Thanks, Jacinda |
| sitehatchery 2007-07-19 15:52:20 | I'm assuming that the invoice numbering is based on the auto-generated primary key in the database. If you start it at 85, each successive invoice will be incremented by 1. This behavior assures that every invoice is unique. If record #85 is deleted, the next one will still be 86. The database administrator for this product would be able to change the value directly in the database. But, you probably would have to contact him directly rather than using the forum. |
